Small, locally-owned cannabis equity businesses in Massachusetts are fighting to survive — and your voice can make a difference.
Thanks to your advocacy and champions like Rep. Chynah Tyler and Sen. Liz Miranda, the Legislature included funding in the FY25 budget to support Equitable Opportunities Now (EON), a nonprofit led by and for communities harmed by the war on drugs.
With that support, we’ve been able to:
- Host over two dozen convenings for social equity entrepreneurs
- Bring social equity applicants and operators together in-person to encourage networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to small businesses navigating complex regulations
- Empower stakeholders to engage with policymakers and regulators
- Keep the community informed through timely updates and live coverage of key meetings
But this critical work is at risk without continued funding.
We’re grateful that Senator Liz Miranda has filed Amendment #53 to the FY26 Senate budget to continue this important work. Now, we need your help to keep this momentum going
👉 Will you take 30 seconds to email your Senator and urge them to cosponsor Amendment #53?
Together, we can create a more inclusive, competitive, and equitable cannabis industry that reflects the communities it’s meant to serve.
Thank you for standing with equity entrepreneurs and advocating for a better future.
