Dear Friend,
We’re so close to creating an equitable cannabis industry and momentum is on our side:
- The CCC has been using all of the tools available to them to foster equity, including an equity-applicant-only exclusivity period for new delivery licenses!
- Last session, the Massachusetts House passed a crucial host community reform bill to create a level playing field for applicants
- Earlier this month, the Senate passed a comprehensive cannabis equity reform bill that would address HCAs, providing grants and loans to equity applicants, social consumption, and numerous other crucial reforms
Now is the time to keep that momentum going by urging the House to continue their leadership in cannabis reform by taking up the Senate’s bill!
Please join our virtual Rally for Cannabis Equity with Cannabis Policy Committee Co-Chair Sen. Sonia Chang Diaz, Rep. Chynah Tyler, CCC Commissioner Nurys Camargo, economic empowerment applicants, social equity program participants, and other advocates Thursday, April 28 at 12 p.m.
Your voice matters and it’s crucial that your legislators hear from you to understand the urgent need to create an equitable cannabis industry now! RSVP now on Facebook or Eventbrite.
Let’s keep the momentum going and finally deliver on the equity Question 4 was intended to foster!
Thank you for your support,
Shanel Lindsay
